Not sure if any of you have had a chance to catch this show yet, if you haven't, you aren't missing a whole lot. I pledged my allegiance to this show the second it was announced purely out of my love for Isaac Mizrahi, so it hurts me that this show is seriously lacking.
My biggest complaint for the show is that the talent of the contestants is practically non existent. Project Runway is successful because the contestants can compete at the same level and really give us a good competition. On The Fashion Show there are only a couple contestants who are really talented. Because of the lack of talent, there is a lack of competition which just makes the show boring.
I feel like the other little things that bother me, wouldn't bother me as much should the competition part of the show be more interesting. The fact that Kelly Rowland is just such a random choice as a co-host and judge probably wouldn't bother me if I had something else to concentrate on such as the designs of the contestants.
I think Isaac and Fern are fantastic and offer excellent commentary. Should this show be renewed for a second season, they really need to work on casting a higher level of contestants.
