Burberry Spring '09 collection shot by Mario Testino. The collection of ads are available on the Burberry website. I think the ads are beautiful and I love the clothes and models in the green house setting. A collection that was inspired by artist Derek Jarman and what creative director Christopher Bailey calls "crumpled classics". This ad in particular is a beautiful example of how Burberry is transcending far from is nova check past into a beautifully refined future.
The other ads that have me in love with fashion this Spring '09 are the ads staring Madonna for
Louis Vuitton shot by Steven Meisel. It goes far beyond the fact that its Madonna in the ad as opposed to some model. The composition of the ads and the attitude they exude are just amazing . Nothing has made me want to go back and sit in a Parisian cafe with a cafe au lait and a cigarette, even though I don't smoke, than these ads. To me that is a good advertisement. It not only makes you want the product but the lifestyle as well.
